The everyday power of turmeric
How a single root in Uganda became a global wellness staple and what it can do to your health and kitchen.

If there's one spice we'd nudge every household to keep close, it's turmeric. Warm, earthy, faintly bitter and quietly one of the most researched roots in the world.
Three simple ways to use it this week
1) Stir half a teaspoon into scrambled eggs with black pepper. 2) Warm a mug of milk (dairy or plant) with turmeric, ginger, and a spoon of honey before bed. 3) Rub it with salt, garlic and oil onto chicken or fish before roasting. 4) Add a teaspoon into a mug of hot water add 2 pinches of black pepper to promote comfort and protect cells from oxidative stress
One small tip
Always pair turmeric with a pinch of black pepper and a little fat. It's what helps your body actually absorb the good stuff.
